Short version: Rankagora does not set cookies. It uses one random identifier in session storage to produce anonymous, first-party visitor statistics. What cookies are
Cookies are small text files stored by a website in a browser. They can support essential features, remember preferences, measure usage or enable advertising. Similar technologies include local storage and session storage.
Current cookie use
The current Rankagora public frontend does not set first-party cookies. It has no user sign-in, behavioural advertising or third-party analytics.
Session storage
The public frontend stores one random anonymous visitor identifier and one service-issued anonymous session token in session storage. They last for the browser tab session and are used with page paths and activity times to calculate online users, visitors and page views. They are not used for advertising or cross-site tracking.
Essential infrastructure
A future production hosting, security or payment provider may use strictly necessary cookies to deliver the service, prevent abuse or complete a requested transaction. Any such use will be documented here before launch.
Third-party websites
Rankagora links to independent listing websites. Those websites may set their own cookies under their own policies. Rankagora does not control cookies used after you leave this site.
Managing browser storage
Browsers let you clear or block cookies and site storage. Clearing the current tab's session storage removes its anonymous visitor identifier; a new one is created on the next page load.
Future third-party analytics or advertising
If non-essential third-party analytics, personalisation or advertising technologies are introduced, Rankagora will update this policy and implement consent controls where required before those technologies are activated.
Changes to this policy
This page will be revised whenever browser-storage practices change. The date above identifies the current version.
